WHAT

Big Thinking Women, Unlimited (BTW) is the first organization of its kind to connect successful, extraordinary women aged 50+ (or fast approaching) who, together, leverage the power of their shared wisdom.

WHO

BTW is the brainchild and passion of founder, Dr. Tessa Albert Warschaw (“Dr. Tess”), a nationally recognized psychotherapist, author and life coach. Through her private practice, corporate and entrepreneurial consulting and extensive travel, Dr. Tess recognized a marked inconsistency between the surplus of resources for women in their 20s and 30s and the lack of support for women after they reach 50.

BTW was founded with women who are smart, accomplished, authentic, passionate and energetic- women with pioneering spirits.

  • Women involved with BTW: 80% are entrepreneurial and 20% hold positions in corporations.
  • BTW women are leaders in their communities and know that the power of the decisions they make reaches from their households, to their businesses, to their communities.
  • BTW women set a vision for others and give of their time, talents, and ideas and are change agents in every sector of our econom.

WHY

One of the fastest growing segments of our economy is baby boomers. Many marketers continue to target products and services to younger audiences; they are missing over 78 million baby boomers and beyond in the U.S. –of which more than half are women. Women make over 80% of the purchasing decisions and are a prime target market for those who want to capture these decision makers who are securing their financial futures, preserving their health and their family’s health and creating a legacy in the second half of life.

WHERE

BTW was launched in 2003 and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California. The founder, Dr. Tessa Albert Warschaw, oversees the company. BTW has an advisory board of directors, which includes prominent business and community leaders who advise the founder on marketing partnerships and corporate sponsorships, membership, programs, philanthropy and issues important to baby boomer women. BTW reaches a national audience through the company website and has set strategies for expansion to major markets throughout the United States.

VISION

BTW is a global community of exceptional women who seek and share information, experiences, and insights in order to successfully navigate life transitions unique to women aged 50+ (i.e. entrepreneurship, volunteering, career re-wires, retirement and elder caretaking).

MISSION

BTW unites forward thinking women aged 50+ in an authentic, synergistic community of support and celebration to shift the aging perspective, create legacies for self and others and be a recognizable force politically, socially, and economically.
